Why we built the Scaling Review as a proposal, not an autopilot

The Scaling Review is the part of GainSync that looks at recent workout data and proposes what to change next. It does not touch the program on its own. Every suggestion lands in front of the coach as a clean card: keep the load, add a set, drop reps, or adjust rest.

Why a proposal? Because coaching is a relationship. Clients trust a human, not a black box. The coach still makes the call, but the call is faster and better informed. The proposal includes the exact exercise, the proposed change, and the data that supports it.

This pattern keeps the coach in control while removing the busywork of scanning dozens of sessions. It also creates a feedback loop: when a coach accepts or rejects a suggestion, the system learns what style of progression that coach prefers.
